Day One

Transfer from Cape Town International Airport to Radisson Blu Le Vendome Hotel located in Cape Town’s lively Sea Point suburb. Check into your elegant room and for a stretch of legs, why not take a walk along the Sea Point promenade and feel like a local lapping up the afternoon sun? Overnight at Radisson Blu Le Vendome.

Day Two

Bring your camera; we’re headed for Cape Point at the south-western tip of the Cape Peninsula for a Springbok Atlas Tours & Safaris Guided Tour!

This scenic full day tour begins with a beautiful drive along the Atlantic coast, passing through the cosmopolitan suburb of Camps Bay with its glorious views of the Twelve Apostles, part of the Table Mountain range. We’ll continue to the fishing village of Hout Bay, one of Cape Town’s best-kept secrets. Here there is the option to take a short boat trip to Duiker Island (for own account & time permitting) to view the Cape fur seals that inhabit the island. From Hout Bay we travel to the Cape Point Nature Reserve, comprising over 17 300 acres of indigenous fauna and flora. Here we can see a variety of wildlife that includes baboons, rhebok, Cape mountain zebra, bontebok and the elusive eland. The reserve is also one of the world’s largest breeding grounds for tortoises. Bird-watchers, too, will find many fine species to observe.

The majestic coastline offers drama worthy of being called “Nature’s Greatest Show”. We’ll be able to see the union of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans (as per legend), and may even feel the brisk wind that is dubbed the “Cape Doctor” for its presumed curative powers. Following the coastline along False Bay, we’ll return to Cape Town by way of Simon’s Town, where we visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach (for own account), Fish Hoek fishing village and Muizenberg. Before our return to Cape Town, we stop at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens for a short walking tour of the exquisite gardens. Overnight at Radisson Blu Le Vendome. [B]

Day Three

Time for an exploration of city & food – the fun way! Starting on the Sea Point promenade alongside the stunning Atlantic Ocean, your e-bikes are fully charged and ready to ride! Pedal your way along the scenic coastline, taking in the ocean sights and sounds. Make your way on your electric bicycle, without breaking a sweat, to the Cape Malay Quarters known as the Bo-Kaap, rich in tradition and delicious cuisine. Here you will get the chance to meet and hear the stories told by locals. Besides learning a little about the Bo-Kaap’s history, you will also get to sample some of the delicious traditional Cape Malay cuisine, such as Samoosas and Koeksisters, from a local merchant. From there, you will hop back onto your e-bike and head down to the hot and happening Cape Town City Bowl. Your first stop will be the trendy Bree Street where you will be able to sample some amazing South African made cheese. We continue by sampling the finest biltong in town and other goods such as craft beer and fermented Rooibos tea. After getting a glimpse into the Cape Town vibe, get ready for some more as we continue cycling down on our e-bikes towards the atmospheric and busy Greenmarket Square for a chance to do a bit of souvenir shopping. Continue through the renowned Company Gardens and learn a bit about its rich history. You will then be led to one of the world’s best coffee shops, displaying the most unique décor, and will have the chance to indulge in a delicious Cuppa Jo. Saving one of the most beautiful stops for last, you will virtually fly through the city and let your e-bike take you all the way to and through the classy V&A Waterfront. Overnight at Radisson Blu Le Vendome. [B]
