Visit a crèche in the informal settlement named DRC (morning tours only). Learn the click vocabulary of the Nama-Damara people and learn about their traditional medicine.

The Living Desert tour is a unique 4x4 adventure drive through the dunes outside Swakopmund. The guide is skilled at tracking and finding the living creatures of this seemingly dead environment: sidewinders, Palmato geckoes, Namaqua chameleons, FitzSimon's burrowing skinks, sand-diving lizards and scorpions. Learn about the plant-life of the desert, of its insects and minerals and experience a roaring' dune.

The tour ventures into the archaic landscapes around the Khan and Swakop River Canyons. En-route you will stop for short walks to look at the many miracles of the Namib Desert as well the enigmatic Welwitchia. There are many stories, histories and anecdotes to be told about the area. You will return to Swakopmund around sunset, in time to experience the twilight mood of the moon landscape. The ultimate exhilarating experience.

SS5 - Half Day Eco Marine Kayaking - Daily on request AM, Min 2 pax

Following a 40km drive with the Kayak mobile across the edge of the Namib Desert you arrive at Pelican point from where the kayaking departs. Kayak past the lighthouse, around Pelican point to the seal colonies. Excellent bird viewing is possible while delightful seals and Heavyside dolphins curiously play around your kayak. Your photo will be taken during the kayaking at no extra charge to ensure a lasting memory.

Motor boat or catamaran cruises are operated along the shores of the Atlantic Ocean near Walvis Bay. The boat visits Pelican Point, the tip of the sandbank forming the bay. Seals from a nearby colony play around the boats and pelicans fly along side, offering great photo opportunities. Often turtles and dolphins can be seen. A light lunch including fresh Walvis Bay oysters and sparkling wine will be served. En route back, see an artificial Guano Island from which guano is harvested and pass the deep water Harbour of Walvis Bay.
